Pop Vultures
Current.org | Pop Vultures discontinued
The show was hosted by journalist Kate Sullivan (her rocking blog). She is currently the honored guest at transom.org and wrote about song-poems and Off the Charts which aired on PBS. People can contact her at kate-sullivan@sbcglobal.net for info on how to help.
(update Kate conversation is now available as a PDF)
The website says the show is available "as a package of 13 pilot shows" though in the article You can listen to them on the site.
More recent shows are at the Public Radio Exchange which requires free registration (well worth it to get access to interesting gems which you may have missed on your NPR station or never even had the chance to hear).
transom.org "is an experiment in channeling new work and voices to public radio through the Internet, for discussing that work, and encouraging more."
Previous guests have included Studs Terkel, Ira Glass, Sarah Vowell, Lawrence Weschler, Brooke Gladston of On the Media, documetary filmmakers Alan Berliner and Errol Morris, and Robert Krulwich and Deborah Amos from ABC. There are edited PDFs of the conversations which can be downloaded.
